Emerging from a comprehensive R&D stage, SignalTrace™ procedures are now successfully applied to recover data from hard drives experiencing significant drive head and/or media degradation. SignalTrace™ is the result of many years of research and a substantial investment of Seagate resources.
SignalTrace™ is a revolutionary recovery technique which enables direct reads of information stored at the bit level on the drive's platters. Using engineered adaptive algorithms, SignalTrace™ interprets the raw content independent of the drive itself. By bypassing the drive electronics, SignalTrace™ enables recovery in situations where standard recovery technology generally fails. Seagate Recovery Services is the only provider able to offer drive-independent recovery technology to clients.
